Rockstar Games launched Grand Theft Auto V in 2013 for fans eagerly waiting for the next GTA release. The game features an open world landscape with offline and multiplayer modes and allows you to enjoy the premium edition for additional features as well. It’s a fun, mature title with excellent graphics, gameplay and story.

Immersive story and gameplay

Grand Theft Auto V takes you back to the infamous San Andreas, a return to the GTA game of the same name. The story follows the lives of three main characters – Michael, Trevor and Franklin. They each have unique personality traits that often get them into trouble.

In the GTA V campaign, you can switch between them at will and choose primary objectives or side quests. The former moves you towards the end of the story, while the latter gives you funds and experience to get better weapons and other items. If you are interested in real estate and vehicles, you can use your accumulated wealth to buy several of them in the city.

Of course, there’s a major crime theme here, so you can resort to violence and theft and claim property for free. Grand Theft Auto V is more suitable for mature audiences, with elements of sex, dr#%gs and extreme violence. You will also have to make critical decisions during selected parts of the story that will affect the outcome.

Offline and multiplayer modes

The action game is available in both offline and online mode. Before you start playing, it’s crucial to decide which version you want to access. GTA V loads each segment separately, so you exit campaign mode before entering multiplayer.

GTA Online has become popular over the years and players still use their characters to wreak havoc in various multiplayer challenges. You start by creating an avatar, changing its appearance, gender, clothing and other items. The open world aspect has been retained so you are free to choose how you want to live your online existence.

Grand Theft Auto Online features many of the same elements of the campaign mechanics. The main variant is that you can compete with others for rewards or join your friends and eliminate your opponents.

How to install GTA V on Windows

Before you can play Grand Theft Auto V on Windows, you’ll need to download a huge 95 GB file. It has grown over the years, starting at 36GB in 2013 and reaching 65GB in 2015. The file size is a testament to how much work and regular new content Rockstar Games puts into the action/adventure game.

Once you have the file, you can use the installation wizard to select a location on your hard drive where you want to store the program data. You have the option to create desktop shortcuts for easy access. The file will take some time to install as it requires both offline and multiplayer mode.

You will also need to create a Rockstar Games Social Club account to play GTA V on Windows. This includes providing your location details, submitting your privacy information and entering your account username and password. For security reasons, you should never share your account information with anyone.

Standard Edition vs. Premium Edition

While the GTA V Standard Edition is more affordable, the Premium Edition has additional features for you to enjoy. Common elements include campaign and online modes. You also get standard weapons, packs, and items available to all players.

The main difference between GTA 5 and GTA 5 Premium Online Edition is the power-ups you get in the multiplayer version. There is a Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack with unique items, vehicles and bonus cash, all worth $10,000,000 in San Andreas. You’ll be ahead of the competition if they don’t buy the package before you do.

As for your car arsenal, you get ten high-performance cars to race through the streets. When you walk into your closet, you’ll also see new clothes to wear. The new weapons aren’t bad either.

Restore GTA V files

Many PC players of Grand Theft Auto V have indicated the issue of files crashing and losing save games. When you’ve invested time and possibly real money into developing your criminal empire, this problem can be incredibly frustrating. Fortunately, there is a way to recover GTA V files.

It mostly depends on the client on which you play the game in a Windows environment. Some platforms have a Library folder where you can verify files and restore GTA V to the last safe settings. If you’re looking for a clean sweep with no mods, you may need to uninstall the game, remove the mod folders, and reinstall it again.

Crippling vehicles and weapons

There’s no denying that Grand Theft Auto V is a hugely entertaining title that offers so many objectives and items that you’ll spend months playing it.
